Neolab has made available co-cyprindiol 2000/35 tablets containing 2mg of the androgen cyproterone acetate and 35µg of the oestrogen ethinyloestradiol.
Merck Pharmaceuticals has brought out a range of once-daily hormone replacement tablets. The products are:
• FemTab (1mg or 2mg of the oestrogen oestradiol valerate);
• FemTab Sequi (2mg of the oestrogen oestradiol valerate and 2mg oestradiol valerate plus 75µg of the progestogen levonorgestrel);
• FemTab Continuous (2mg of the oestrogen oestradiol hemihydrate plus 1mg of the progestogen norethisterone acetate).
Alpharma has marketed 5mg enteric-coated tablets of the corticosteroid prednisolone.
GlaxoSmithKline has introduced Imigran 10mg nasal spray containing the 5HT1 agonist sumatriptan.
PLIVA Pharma has brought out 150mg and 300mg tablets of the reversible monoamine oxidase-A inhibitor moclobemide.
Sankyo Pharma has launched Olmetec tablets. The tablets contain 10mg, 20mg or 40mg of the angiotensin II antagonist olmesartan.
Almus Pharmaceuticals has made available the analgesic cocodamol 8/500 effervescent tablets.
