Goldshield has brought out Komil 5/40 tablets containing 40mg of the loop diuretic frusemide and 5mg of the potassium-sparing diuretic amiloride hydrochloride.

Link Pharmaceuticals has made available Tranquilyn tablets containing 5mg, 10mg or 20mg of the CNS stimulant methylphenidate hydrochloride.

APS/Berk has introduced 250mg, 500mg and 750mg tablets of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin.

Roche Products has marketed Pegasys injection. The product contains 180µg/0.5ml of the immuno-stimulating agent peginterferon a-2a in a prefilled syringe.

Merck Sharp & Dohme has launched Caspofungin infusion containing 50mg or 70mg of the antimycotic agent caspofungin (as acetate).

GlaxoSmithKline has introduced a live attenuated varicella-zoster vaccine, under the name of Varilrix.

Lagap Pharmaceuticals has added to its range of generics: 10mg tablets of cetirizine dihydrochloride; co-zidocapt tablets in two strengths: with 25mg of the ACE inhibitor captopril and 12.5mg of the thiazide diuretic hydrochlorothiazide, and with 50mg captopril plus 25mg hydrochlorothiazide; 5mg tablets of warfarin; and 5mg and 10mg tablets of the hypnotic zolpidem tartrate.
