Supply chain partner Unipart has entered into a strategic partnership with GBUK to boost its supply chain operations.
Through the deal, Unipart will provide GBUK with warehousing and transportation services at its Warth Park site within Northamptonshire, UK's Golden Triangle — where many logistics and warehousing facilities operate.
GBUK manufactures both medical devices and clinical consumables, and is currently one of the largest suppliers to the NHS.
Under the terms of the agreement, Unipart will manage GBUK's transportation, the unloading of containers and storing goods, as well as palletising goods by SKU, picking them for customer dispatch and then delivering them.
With more than 30 years of experience in health supply chain optimisation, Unipart will optimise GBUK's distribution network within the UK market.
Mike Bristow, Unipart Managing Director, Logistics and Transport UK, said: “Our extensive experience and breadth of solutions position us as the supply chain transformation partner of choice for the healthcare sector. With this partnership, Unipart will support GBUK to fulfil their commitment of maintaining quality, innovation, and accessibility at the core of everything they do.”
John Howe, Operations Director at GBUK, said: “At GBUK, we are committed to delivering high-quality medical products efficiently and reliably. Partnering with Unipart strengthens our supply chain operations, ensuring we can continue to provide innovative healthcare solutions to our customers with even greater efficiency."
"The company'sexpertise in logistics and distribution aligns perfectly with our mission to enhance patient care and drive positive change in the healthcare sector.”
