Varian gives quicker purification

Varian has unveiled the Chroma.Zone High-Throughput Zonal Purification (HTZP) system, a simple and safe flash chromatography solution for rapidly purifying organic compounds used in the early stages of drug discovery. Chemists can quickly purify synthesis reaction mixtures and natural product extractions.

The development makes Varian a single-source supplier for systems for all steps in the preparative chromatography process. All the systems are based on the same control software platform.

Chroma.Zone HTZP includes a cartridge compression system, pump module and cartridges. A double axial compression module secures, seals and compresses the cartridge for stability and integrity. As the distinct zones elute from the cartridge they are easily collected for further testing.
