The Claricom package coding management (PCM) software from Videojet Technologies, a leading manufacturer of coding, printing and laser marking products, is compatible with thermal transfer overprinters, continuous inkjet printers, large character marking systems and print-and-apply labelling systems.
The software now also offers connectivity with the Videojet 1510 continuous inkjet printer.
The company says the multi-technology Claricom PCM system improves coding accuracy and uptime. It allows configuration of all coding equipment on a production line as a single operation, increasing code accuracy by enabling common message management and a single master database of coding message specifications. It also allows manufacturers to select the right coding equipment for the right application.
"The efficiency savings created by the Claricom PCM software provide a return on investment that can be realised in weeks rather than years," said James Butcher, Videojet business unit manager for software. The Claricom PCM suite can also eliminate human error and ensure accurate on-pack coding, he added.
The system helps eliminate incorrect message setup that can result in waste products, waste packaging and recoding. It is suitable for the perishable, short shelf-life food, private-label food, beverage and industrial parts marking markets.
Included in the Claricom PCM suite is Clarisoft PC-based message management software. When used in with the Clarinet networking software, the Clarisoft software can provide a centralised means for variable data printer setup, control and feedback. The software can operate as a self-contained network or be integrated within a facility's data communications network to create an enterprise-wide solution.
