Wyeth discontinues West Chester operation

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a division of Wyeth will cease operations at its West Chester, Pa, facility from December 2004, with the loss of around 200 jobs. The site ceased manufacturing Wyeth non-penicillin products in 2000, and has been operating as a third party manufacturer for other pharmaceutical companies. Other manufacturing solutions for those products are being pursued by the third party manufacturing contractor.
