Alfa Laval launches new centrifuge decanter range

Published: 1-Jul-2002

Alfa Laval has developed a new range of decanter centrifuges to perform a wide variety of solid/liquid separation duties. The CHNX 400 range has throughput capacities ranging from 3-40m3/h and is said to provide cost effective performance in applications such as liquid clarification, solids concentration and classification. Designed for automatic, continuous operation, the equipment can handle slurries with a solids content of less than 1% DS up to those with a very high solids content. Flexible controls enable the decanter to be set up to optimise cake dryness, lower energy consumption, lower life cycle costs, cleaner centrate or a combination of these parameters. A 360° solids discharge gives the maximum possible discharge area for solids and enables the centrifuge to process higher solids volumes without loss of product quality. Finally, the whole machine can be vapour sealed to enable it to be used to process solvents or toxic materials.
