BioStorage Technologies accelerates European expansion with Frankfurt facility

BioStorage Technologies, a US provider of temperature-controlled storage facilities, has expanded its European operations by opening a 1,499m2 full-service biorepository in Frankfurt, Germany. The company says the new facility will enable it to accommodate a rapidly growing list of customers based in Europe.


BioStorage Technologies, a US provider of temperature-controlled storage facilities, has expanded its European operations by opening a 1,499m2 full-service biorepository in Frankfurt, Germany. The company says the new facility will enable it to accommodate a rapidly growing list of customers based in Europe.

The new facility will offer worldwide industry-compliant logistics, supply chain management and meet all international customs and transportation regulations in addition to documentation requirements. The company will begin offering services immediately.

"We are pleased to see such rapid global growth since opening our initial Germany-based facility in 2007," said John Mills, chief executive of BioStorage Technologies.

"Frankfurt has been an ideal location for us to create additional alliances and partnerships with companies conducting pharmaceutical r&d in Europe."

Dr Wolfgang Hoffer heads the European operation as managing director.

BioStorage Technologies has also announced an expansion of its global headquarters in Indianopolis, US, to include an additional 3,700m2 cold-storage facility, which will create 125 new jobs.
