Dr Kevin Robinson (KSR) had some questions for Brian Morrissey (BM), General Manager of Gaelic Laboratories, about the acquisition and its impact on the two companies and their future

KSR: What specific operational synergies do you expect to realise in the first 12–18 months and how will manufacturing consolidation be managed to avoid disruption to existing product lines? 

BM: As both companies are key players in the supply chain for beta-lactam antibiotics, we should be able to leverage many operational synergies.

To begin with, we will be focusing on optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring a seamless workforce transition and aligning our IT and compliance systems for a smooth operational shift.
