MIT sticks with Brookhaven
A research group in the chemical engineering department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has chosen the ZetaPALS analyser from Brookhaven to replace an older Brookhaven particle sizing instrument. The lab studies the problems associated with the controlled release of pharmaceuticals and uses the ZetaPALS analyser to measure both particle size and zeta potential.
'After investigating several competing systems, we concluded that the ZetaPALS could determine zeta potentials without compromising the accuracy of particle sizing,' says David Lynn, a postdoctoral research fellow with the group. 'The ZetaPALS was also unique in being suitable for the wide range of experimental conditions likely to be encountered in our lab.'
