New B. Braun company in Serbia
Takeover of Medinic commercial operations marks opening of the new B. Braun office from 1 August
Contracts have now been signed for commencing B. Braun commercial operations (Hospital Care and Aesculap) under the newly founded B. Braun Serbia. The office opened on 1 August and 11 new B. Braun employees have started marketing medical devices under the B. Braun name for the first time.
At the signing of the contracts Dragan Soljakovski, managing director of B. Braun in Croatia and Serbia, remarked: ‘With this day, B. Braun is sending a strong signal in a country with great challenges but also enormous potential for the entire Balkan region. Together with my company management colleague Ivan Dzepina, we will repeat Croatia's path to success.’
‘We are deliberately expanding at a juncture when social and political change is taking hold in Serbia,’ commented Christian Braun, who is responsible for the region with Manfred Mahrle. ‘In 10 years, Serbia will be a member of the European Union and we are sowing the seeds of tomorrow's success today.’
Because operations were profitable prior to the takeover, a positive contribution to earnings is expected from the first full financial year. The new company is called B. Braun Adria RSRB DOO.
