OPTIMA’s SpeedCare Line Smart has won the German Packaging Award 2026, having been recognised for its approach to flexible, efficient packaging and filling for OTC, personal care and home care products.
The German Packaging Institute’s award assesses packaging machinery against criteria including innovation, economic efficiency, ecological sustainability, safety and ease of use.
OPTIMA's platform uses a format-independent conveyor system to process different container types and formats on the same line.
Manufacturers can switch formats without tools in less than 20 minutes, with the system capable of operating with or without pucks and achieving outputs of up to 240 packages per minute.
For manufacturers facing increasing product variety and shorter production runs, the technology is designed to make smaller batch sizes more economically viable by reducing changeover, cleaning and associated downtime.
The resulting reduction in waste and energy consumption per package also supports resource-efficiency objectives.

OPTIMA, headquartered in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, develops filling, packaging and production systems for sectors including pharmaceuticals, consumer products, medical products and life sciences.
