In a recent case study, Huber tested the capabilities of their Unistat® 910w unit by heating a 100-litre Diehm un-insulated jacketed glass reactor. The process temperature set-point was changed from -60 °C to 20 °C, requiring the system to ramp through an 80 K temperature shift. The jacket temperature rapidly ramped through 145 K (from -60 °C to 85 °C) to create a wide differential, pulling the process exactly to its new set-point in under an hour with negligible overshoot.
