In vial fill-finish operations, three challenges stand out in particular: combining flexibility and speed, adapting to changing product characteristics, and complying with ever-stricter regulatory requirements such as EU GMP Annex 1. Flexibility is just as important in oral solid dosage (OSD) production and starts with choosing the right technology for each process. Different formulations, batch sizes and production requirements call for different equipment – from development on SolidLab 1 and SolidLab 2 Plus to continuous manufacturing with Xelum. With the new HMI, which is showcased for the first time at CPHI, Syntegon provides a common operating environment across these technologies. Familiar navigation, workflows and tools make it easier to move between applications, reduce training effort and help manufacturers expand their equipment portfolio without having to introduce completely new operating concepts.
