The QP training courses have proved especially popular due to their high practical content, and the fact that they are considerably less time consuming, and hence less expensive, than alternative courses. Thus far, RSSL Pharma Training is able to report a 100% success rate for candidates passing their QP examinations after taking these courses.
New services are also being added as the demand for outsourcing grows. Over the years, RSSL Pharma has responded to the opportunities presented by the elucidation of the human genome by launching a service in high throughput genetic screening of clinical samples. Such screening can be used to identify the genetic factors associated with susceptibility and propagation of disease, and will greatly assist the development of new drugs targeted at particular genetic defects.
RSSL Pharma has also added Dermatological Testing & Claims Support. Under the guidance of the RSSL Pharma Ethics Committee and working to GCP standards, the service offers a range of skin patch tests to evaluate the primary or cumulative irritation and contact sensitisation potential of products or their ingredients. Open cutaneous application methods are used to test those products or raw materials that tend to be irritant under conventional patch test conditions. Supervised or home-use trials provide information on product safety and performance under normal conditions of use.
