Pharma companies should pay VAT on equivalent value


The payment of EU pharmaceutical employees with medicine vouchers may become less cost effective if the European Court of Justice (ECJ) confirms that companies must pay VAT on their value.

ECJ Advocate General Paolo Mengozzi has formally advised judges that this should happen in a case involving Astra Zeneca UK.
