TTP LabTech has announced a number of high throughput platforms for the study of cytotoxicity, which use the Acumen eX3 fluorescence microplate cytometer and new solutions for toxicity profiling developed by Invitrogen, a division of Life Technologies Corporation.
The Acumen eX3 laser scanning cytometer is an ultra-high throughput system for cell-based screening that offers enhanced multiplexing to maximise data content and generate robust data sets when deployed with Invitrogen ready-to-use Molecular Probes kits and reagents.
A number of cytotoxic phenomena can be analysed with the Molecular Probes including cell viability, DNA damage and cell cycle processes such as mitosis. The strength of the Acumen eX3 platform combined with these high content screening (HCS) products enables the high-throughput analysis of a variety of toxicity parameters, the company says.
