A rotary lobe pump, the BLK Hy-clean is compliant with EHEDG, FDA and 3A regulations.

AxFlow says that the BLK Hy-clean can be integrated into existing production lines as it has a modular design (vertical porting) and compact size. Furthermore it is suitable for both CIP and SIP cleaning regimes, whilst maintenance can be performed in-place without the need to dismantle piping.

"The Blackmer BLK-Hy-clean features a Tri Lobe rotor, which is easy to mount and can be accurately positioned without risk of mechanical error," said Dave Hutton, AxFlow's Blackmer product manager.

"Front loaded mechanical seals, which are wetted to enable dry operation, are a major contribution to the pump's ease of maintenance," he added.

The five models within the range offer reversible suction and discharge and can accommodate applications for flow rates between 1.8 and 115.8 m³/h and pressures up to 12 bar.
