BioFocus signs compound management agreement with TB Alliance

BioFocus, the compound management services division of Galapagos, has signed a three-year agreement with the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development (TB Alliance). Under this agreement BioFocus will manage TB Alliance's chemical library collection from its facility in San Francisco, US.


BioFocus, the compound management services division of Galapagos, has signed a three-year agreement with the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development (TB Alliance). Under this agreement BioFocus will manage TB Alliance's chemical library collection from its facility in San Francisco, US.

The TB Alliance is a product development partnership formed to accelerate the discovery and development of new TB drugs.

"This collaboration leverages our full suite of compound management services and further expands our client base of not-for-profit discovery organisations to a global level," said Scott Snyder, BioFocus" senior director of compound management.

The compound management services offered by BioFocus include compound identification, selection, sourcing, analysis, storage, plating and reformatting, purification and distribution.
