Sartorius, the German manufacturer of weighing, measurement and automation equipment, has introduced what it claims is the first modular and future-proof lab balance that can be custom-built, configured and retro-adapted for almost every weighing application in the laboratory.
Called Cubis, the lab balance offers finely graduated weighing capacities of up to 12kg and readabilities from 0.01mg to 0.1g.
Feature highlights include a space-saving design and technology that displays an alert message whenever the balance is tilted and then returns it to a levelled state through a series of interactive on screen user-prompts.
There is also a choice of three types of draft shield with an optional IR device that allows the automated doors to be opened without touching the display and three display and control units including a colour touch-screen. In addition, Cubis features an integrated ioniser that eliminates static electricity thus increasing weighing accuracy.
