Ditone tactile info helps the visually impaired

Published: 29-May-2001

Ditone Labels has developed special printing techniques to provide the visually impaired with better on-pack information by producing self-adhesive labels with consistent braille and moon characters. The breakthrough will enable pharmaceutical companies to communicate warnings and dosages via tactile printing.

Ditone has adapted a rotary press to enable the consistent production of braille and moon labels. The company has also worked with its suppliers to develop a special formulation of ink that improves definition and curing.
