Dompe implements Honeywell technology

European contract manufacturer Dompe Pharmaceuticals has upgraded its manufacturing execution system (MES) technology to the latest offering from Honeywell – the POMS MES 4.2

Upgrading to the current POMS MES enables Dompe, which is based in L'Aquila, Italy, to produce high quality pharmaceutical products at the lowest possible unit cost. The company says it is able to meet the most stringent quality and consistency standards, while saving money, improving efficiency and decreasing time-to-market.

At the company's warehouse, the MES manages the entire production process, including the warehousing, dispensing and packaging products. The system is integrated with Dompe plant automation, as well as corporate sales, marketing, and quality assurance systems, providing a complete manufacturing system. The implementation was undertaken in accordance with the cGMP rules for the pharma and IT technology arena.
