MG2, from Bologna, will unveil Labby, its new plug&play capsule filling machine at Achema in Frankfurt in May.

Modular, simple and compact but fully automatic, Labby is ideal for r&d laboratories, clinical trials, small batch outputs and special productions. The system is configured for a production speed up to 3,500 capsules/hour but is based on the same functioning principles as high speed machines, enabling production scale-up.

By simply replacing or adding modules, it can dose: powder (low dosages and micro-dosages, with or without compaction); pellets; tablets and micro-tablets; and liquids. Labby can also be supplied with a weight control system.

Also on its stand M22-N29 in Hall 3.1, MG2 will offer a new powder micro-dosing unit fitted with micro-weighing control system. This unit is able to fill powder while checking the net mass and stops once the set dosing mass has been achieved.

It can handle various kinds of powder, including APIs without excipients or bulking agents.
