Filling and stoppering is the automatic solution

Efficient filling and stoppering for pre-packaged products and formulations is an essential requirement in the pharmaceutical industry, with manufacturers demanding systems that provide automation, precision and reliability. To meet this need Biopharma Process Systems has introduced a new vacuum stoppering system and multi-head filler that provides reliable, semi-automatic batch insertion of stoppers, plungers or plugs into filled containers.

The versatile Cozzoli volumetric multi-head F329 fillers are adaptable to various containers and products ranging from aqueous solutions to heavy oils. They are available with six, eight and 10 filling heads to handle varying matrix patterns and can operate at up to 20 cycles or 200 containers per minute, with a filling accuracy of ±0.5%. Liquid contact parts are made from 316L stainless steel for easy cleaning and sterilisation. Cozzoli's innovative 'no O-ring, no packing' syringe and sliding valve design is said to eliminate a major source of potential product contamination, while a 'drawback' control eliminates hanging droplets after each fill cycle.
