PhRMA calls for South Korean reforms over medicine pricing

US-South Korea free trade agreement now in force


The US Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) organisation has called on the South Korean government to make its system of reimbursing patients for medicines more transparent now that the US-South Korea free trade agreement is in force (from 15 March).

PhRMA fears the Korean health service will deliberately buy locally made drugs over American exports.
