Siemens debuts gen-AI powered maintenance technology for process manufacturers

Published: 25-Mar-2025

The generative AI tech is designed to boost long-term quality and productivity by enabling effective industrial maintenance

Siemens has expanded its Industrial Copilot technology range to include, Senseye Predictive Maintenance, an AI-powered maintenance tool for companies in the process manufacturing industries.

The solution leverages generative AI across the entire value chain, from design to engineering, operations and services.

By leveraging real-time data, companies can use this technology to pre-emptively perform maintenance on machinery before it becomes faulty, saving costs and reducing downtime.

The technology comes in two forms:

  • Entry package: An accessible and cost-effective predictive maintenance option that combines AI-powered repair guidance with basic predictive capabilities. This package allows businesses to transfer from reactive to condition-based maintenance via sensor data collection and real-time machinery monitoring. It also includes AI-assisted troubleshooting.

  • Scale package: Designed as a all-encompassing predictive maintenance tool, this package utilises Senseye Predictive Maintenance and Maintenance Copilot. It allows clients to predict machinery failures before they happen, minimise downtime and reduce costs. Automated diagnostics are also provided with this program.

Siemens' new offering is designed to cover the entire maintenance cycle, from reactive repair to predictive and preventive strategies.

By fusing gen AI and predictive maintenance together, the tech can ensure that customers are able to make timely interventions.

This expansion of our Industrial Copilot marks a significant step in our mission to transform maintenance operations,” said Margherita Adragna, CEO Customer Services at Siemens Digital Industries.

“By extending our predictive maintenance solutions, we’re enabling industries to seamlessly shift from reactive to proactive maintenance strategies and drive efficiency and resilience in an increasingly complex industrial landscape.”
