Syrris, a leading chemistry automation product innovator, has expanded its global sales network in the Far East by opening a new subsidiary office in Japan. Syrris has already received a significant number of orders.

"This is a very exciting development for the Syrris Group," said Syrris" managing director Mark Gilligan. "Establishing Syrris Japan, Inc. reflects the increasing level of interest we are experiencing around the world in our extensive product portfolio. Japan is a key market for us and our new office will enable us to expand our customer base and offer greater support in this area."

Syrris specialise in flow reactors for R&D chemists, including FRX: a low cost flow chemistry system and Africa (Automated Flow Reaction Incubation and Control Apparatus): a modular system for library synthesis, aqueous work-up and reaction optimisation that will ultimately reduce the time taken to develop, synthesise, screen and review a chemical entity, thus vastly speeding up the drug discovery process.

Syrris" recent expansion is mainly due to the high demand for its flow chemistry and microreactor products (FRX and Africa) and automated batch reactor products (Atlas) for R&D chemists. By using a modular approach, Syrris" products are flexible, low-cost, easy-to-use, with applications in areas such as process development, calorimetry, reaction optimisation and synthesis automation. With customers including most of the top pharmaceutical companies, Syrris" reputation for innovative design, flexible products and excellent service has spread quickly.

Syrris holds offices in the UK and US and has an extensive distribution network in many territories including, Norway, France, Belgium, Thailand, India, China, Australia and New Zealand.
