Syrris opens offices in India

Syrris, the UK developer of laboratory automation products, has expanded into India with the opening of sales and support offices in Mumbai and a sales office in Vadodara. Syrris Scientific Equipment will provide service and support for all customers in India.

Syrris, the UK developer of laboratory automation products, has expanded into India with the opening of sales and support offices in Mumbai and a sales office in Vadodara. Syrris Scientific Equipment will provide service and support for all customers in India.

Syrris, based in Royston, near Cambridge in the UK, designs and manufactures flow chemistry, microreactor and automation products for research chemists.

The flow chemistry products include the FRX and Africa, a fully automated microreactor flow system. The batch reactor products include Atlas, a manual or automated system for control of one or parallel reactions of up to 5 litres in vials, flasks or jacketed reactors. Distributors have already been selling these products throughout India.

"Establishing a subsidiary office in India reflects the rapid growth and success of the Syrris product range," said Mike Hawes, head of sales and marketing. "This timely expansion will provide us with access to world-leading academic institutions, as well as the growing chemical and pharmaceutical industry within the rapidly emerging Indian market."

The newly appointed regional director for India, S. Raman, has more than 28 years" experience in chemistry and automation, as well as nearly three years of selling Syrris products.
