Abbott Laboratories has marketed Uprima sublingual tablets. The product contains 2mg or 3mg of the D2-dopaminergic agonist apomorphine hydrochloride.

Amgen has introduced Aranesp injection containing the anti-anaemic drug darbepoetin alfa in the following strengths: 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100 and 150µg.

Generics (UK) has added 150 mg tablets of the antidepressant trazodone to its product range. The company has also brought out a sugar-free suspension of the antibiotic erythromycin in three strengths: 125mg/ml, 250mg/ml and 500mg/ml.

Bioglan Generics has introduced 20mg and 40mg tablets of the H2-blocker famotidine.

Faulding Pharmaceuticals has brought out 15mg/5ml, 30mg/10ml, 60mg/10ml and 90mg/10ml vials containing the biphosphonate pamidronate disodium.

Crookes Healthcare Thas made available a maximum strength formulation of its nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory product Nurofen Gel, containing 10% ibuprofen.

Lagap Pharmaceuticals has launched 0.5mg tablets of the anti-psychotic drug, haloperidol.

Straken has introduced Demestril-Septem patches. The product, a once-weekly patch containing the oestrogen, oestradiol, delivers 25µg oestradiol per 24h (Demestril-Septem 25), 50µg oestradiol/24h (Demestril-Septem 50) or 75µg oestradiol/24 h (Demestril-Septem 75).

Axcan Pharma has marketed Photofrin injection containing 15mg or 75mg of the cytotoxic porfimer sodium as powder for injection.

Alcon Laboratories has made available Tobradex eye-drops containing 0.3% w/v of the corticosteroid dexamethasone.

AstraZeneca has marketed Symbicort Turbohaler. The anti-asthma product contains budesonide and formoterol fumarate in 100/6 and 200/6 ratios.

Genus Pharmaceuticals has introduced the antibiotic ceftriaxone in 1g vial and 2g infusion formulations.
