UK filter business Amazon acquires German company

The acquisition of L & Z Verfahrenstechnik GmbH will mean both companies operate under the new name of Amazon Filters GmbH.

L & Z Verfahrenstechnik designs and builds filter vessels as well as providing disposable media. While Amazon Filters is a manufacturer of pleated; spun bonded and other cartridge filters and a specialist fabricator of filter vessels, all of which are produced in their 5000m2 factory in Camberley, England. The annual turnover for 2007/08 was over Euro 12m.

Wilfried Langhein, who has been the owner and managing director of L & Z for over 30 years, will oversee L&Z's transition to Amazon. The company will continue to operate from its current address in Wiesbaden, Germany.
