We all know about the importance of water recycling. Now ELGA Process Water wants us to recycle water purifiers!

Having recently acquired ISO 14001 accreditation, ELGA is acutely aware of its responsibilities under the RoHS and WEEE Directives.

The RoHS Directive bans the sale of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of certain hazardous substances. The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the amount of waste being produced and improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover electrical and electronic equipment.

ELGA Process Water wants to help its scientific and laboratory customers to meet their environmental responsibilities and is running a product recycle campaign. If you return an old ELGA LabWater purifier to ELGA Process Water, they will not only recycle it for you free of charge, they will give you great savings on a new lab water system.

Bob Snowdon, ELGA Process Water’s Quality Assurance Manager, is delighted with the campaign: ‘We wanted to celebrate our achievement of ISO 14001 accreditation, and helping our customers to fulfil their responsibilities seems like a great way to do it.’

Returning old systems to ELGA Process Water is a convenient disposal route for users and, of course, ELGA Process Water’s ISO 14001 accredited Environmental Management System means that the final fate of all the components is fully traceable.
