Into AstraZeneca and Nycomed over generic medicines


The European Commission has failed to find wrongdoing in an antitrust investigation into pharma companies AstraZeneca and Nycomed over concerns that they colluded to delay generic medicines sales.

Commission officials visited the two companies in November 2010, seeking evidence that they had broken EU antitrust rules banning restrictive business practices and abuses of dominant market positions.
