The European Research Council (ERC), the European Union body that funds basic pre-commercial research, has said that finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease is a priority.
The ERC has released a paper detailing five projects aimed at advancing scientific knowledge of Alzheimer’s and finding possible remedies. These include assessing gene networks, the stress hormone norepinephrine, controlling protein damage, and other areas of inquiry.
